Diwali, the festival of lights is probably our favorite festival growing up. We always looked forward to it mostly because of the abundant fireworks. Everyone was so excited and were mostly on a sugar high most of the time. It was a festival of sweets and fireworks. It is celebrated as a triumph of good over evil, when Lord Rama killed the daemon Ravana and came back home with his wife after their exile.
We were excited about celebrating our first Diwali in our new place. It is a festival of lights, so we went to Costco and bought some lights and decorated our home with the string lights. It was beautiful. We loved the final output. You can see the bokeh effect in the pictures below and that is because of the lights at the roof top. We loved the pictures. We even bought some fireworks(very small ones) and played with them. As much fun it was playing with them, it was even more fun taking pictures. We had one light source to illuminate the subjects in front of the home. We had a long extension power cord which we normally use for moving the lawn, and we used that as a power source for the light. It was well worth the effort. Hope you guys try something like this as well. The dark night, with just the fireworks, us and the backdrop lighting has created beautiful memories for us, Keep Clicking!
